Yes! We take cleanliness seriously. We are one of the few baby equipment rental services that fully complies with and even exceeds local health department standards. Rockabye provides sanitized, clean baby gear for rent in our locations.

Disinfect – Steam – Heat Dry – Bag

Our cleaning process is extensive. We disinfect hard surfaces with a mild, hospital-grade organic cleaner. This versatile product is a disinfectant, cleaner, sanitizer, fungicide, mildewstat, virucide and deodorizer. It kills coronavirus, HIV-1 & 2, Herpes, SARS, COVID-19, Staph, Strep, MRSA, Salmonella, E. coli, Athlete’s Foot Fungus, yeasts and other dangerous and communicable health threats. It has no color or scent. It is EPA approved and safe for disinfection.

Once disinfected, we steam clean at 170 degrees to remove any residue and to eliminate any possible bedbug or lice exposure. Temperature is critical. Higher heat than 170-degrees can damage and weaken fabrics, while lower temperatures will not kill potential infestations of lice or bedbugs. Finally, we dry the baby items, then bag or cover to minimize exposure to dust.

We linens and machine washable fabrics are laundered in dye free, perfume free detergent; thus, reducing instances of skin sensitivities. Finally, we dry, fold and bag. While everything will arrive clean and ready to use, some customers may wish to launder linens in their preferred detergent.  Some baby gear items don’t have removable fabrics, such as, some strollers and pack n plays. We carefully wash permanent fabrics on the frame with disinfectant, then steam sanitize and heat dry.
